[ Classic Liners, Vol.2 ] Update File, No 4 |
Update File, No 4, will make the following updates to L-1011-500.
* Flap Positions of L-1011-500 were rectified, as follows.
Before: Flap Positions 0-4-10-18-22-27-33-42
After: Flap Position 0-4-10-14-18-22-33. (33 is max)
* Flap Position Indicator was remade to reflect the change of flap positions.
* Flap lever was also renewed. The position of TRAILFLAP and LEADFLAPS were inverted.
* The angle-of-attack on approach was reviewed and adjusted. It would be 5 to 6 degrees.
* Autoland properties were reviewed and adjusted as needed to make a timely flare.
* Fuel consumpiton of L1011-500 was said to have been too low. This issue was addressed.

Service Pack 1
IMPORTANT
Service Pack 1 is an accumulative update file.
It combined all 3 previously-released update files.
All users who have installed these 3 update files are
advised to do OVERWRITE when the installer prompts
you for what to do with the file that already exits.

With this Service Pack 1,
* L-1011 Tape Engine Instruments fitted to -1 TWA, -500 AC and -100 in Lockheed Color.
* L-1011 The nosewheel spins backwards. This is fixed.
* L-1011 The lamp on the nosegear will be lit when the taxi light is switched on.
* L-1011 One could only dial in SPD and HDG in multiples of 10, but not the single
digits in VC. This bug is fixed.
* L-1011-500 There was no Dynamic Shine on -500. It is fixed.
* L-1011-500 The leading edge of the wingtip is rounded.
* DC-10 The center bogey now leaves a smoke puff when landing.
* DC-8 Wing view is added.
* DC-8 Major Overhaul (rather than facelift):
Fuselage: Nose section, tail section and the fillet at wing root are modified.
DME, LOC, RA, Duct, Tail lamp are fitted.
Vertical Stabilizer: Whole section modified. Static Discharges added.
Horizontal Stabilizer: Whole section modified. Static Dischargers added.
Main Wings: Engine Pylon and the wing tip lamp modified. Static Dischargers added.
Engine: Remake from scratch.
Main Gear: Remake from scratch.
Nose Gear: The fitting angle of Nose gear, and the wheels are modified.
Paintkit is available.

Update File No.3 will do the following to the L-1011.
* It adds the L-1011-ADV(100) (with VC and Wing-View version only)
* Re-modification of the bogies is done. (It was a little toe heavy when touchdown on the
tarmac. This was tweaked)
* Re-modification of the horizontal stabilizer of L-1011 is done. (movement becomes steady)
* RMI needle error is fixed. (The single bar needle and the double bar needle are switchable
for ADF and VOR)
* Bug in FMS is fixed. (FMS sometimes does not display CRUISE when reaching CRZ ALT,
if the barometric pressure change occurs)

Update File No.2 will do the following.
* It adds the parallel bogies animation to L-1011 and DC-10.
* It adds the animation of Horizontal Stabilizer to L-1011.
* It improves the interior of L-1011 cockpit. (a part of VC no longer visible from external view)
* It improves the FDE of L-1011 and DC-10.
* It adds the wing view to L-1011 and DC-10.
* It adds the L-1011 and DC10, which do not have the VC.
* It adds the animated outboard aileron to L-1011 and DC-10.
* It makes a change of the angle of Nose Gear Door when gear is downed/locked.
* It improves the wing root of L1011-500.
* It adds the Autoland capability to L-1011.
* It modifies the ADI of L-1011. (among others, FD command bar became larger)
* It improves the climb rate schedule of L1011 FMS. The issue of over power during climb is addressed
* It repairs the faulty ALT Selector Gauge in the VC.

* This update will fix the landing gear compression problem of DC-8, DC-10 and L1011
by deepening the stroke of landing gear. Now, it appears to be as real as it gets to
the real thing when rolling on the ground.
* Fuel gauges on the FE panel of the L1011-1 are changed.
* Type of L1011, either -1 or -500, will now be correctly shown on the Setup page of FMS/CDU.
